Learning Outcomes
At Shiloh College, students will learn to assist safely with personal care, mobility, vital signs, and household management for individuals. Students will learn to recognize the physical, emotional, and well-being of the aging and many other patients.
Admission Requirements & Program Eligibility
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent:
- Applicants must have successfully completed an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or an equivalent level of education.
Mature Student Applicants (19 years of age or older):
- May be admitted as a mature student without a high school diploma.
- Must demonstrate:
- Proficiency in English (ENG4C or ENG4U, or equivalent).
- Other academic or life experience that indicates the ability to succeed in the program.
- Additional assessments or admissions testing may be required.
Recommended for Clinical Placement
- CPR Certification (Level ‘C’)
- Valid Standard First Aid certification
- Mask Fit Testing
- Police Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector
Please note: Failure to provide any required documentation may delay or prevent participation in the practicum placement.
